Tom Virgulto is a seasoned attorney, a devoted father, and a longtime Madison resident running to serve as Judge of Probate for the Guilford-Madison District.

Born and raised in New Haven, Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his law degree from Western New England University. He has been practicing law for over 30 years and currently serves as a partner at Hill & Hill, LLC—just steps from Madison’s Town Hall and Probate Court.

Since moving to Madison in 1997, Tom has been a fixture in the community. He and his wife raised their three children here, all of whom attended Madison’s public schools. His volunteer work includes over a decade of coaching youth baseball, softball, and basketball, and serving as President—and now Vice President—of Madison’s A Better Chance (ABC) program, which supports educational equity for underrepresented students.

Tom appears in Probate Court every week and has made probate law a central focus of his legal practice. He understands not just the legal complexities, but the human stories behind them. With deep roots in the shoreline and a career built on service, Tom is ready to step up and ensure that every resident facing life’s most difficult moments is met with compassion, fairness, and dignity.
